Network monitoring for WISP and ISP operators

See the business impact of every network event.

TowerOps joins your SNMP polling to your billing system and your QoE data. When a tower drops, you already know which subscribers are affected, how much MRR is at risk, and which site to roll a truck to first.

Your tools don’t talk to each other.

Your NMS knows a radio stopped answering. Preseem knows the QoE collapsed. Sonar or Gaiia knows who pays for it. The tower list lives in a spreadsheet. Nothing holds all four at once, so every outage starts with a manual join across five tabs.

TowerOps keeps that join current so the answers are already on screen.

Questions an outage should answer immediately

  • Which subscribers are down right now?
  • How much monthly revenue is behind them?
  • Is this one CPE, one sector, or the whole site?
  • Which site do we send the truck to first?

Features

Everything a WISP actually operates on, in one place.

Not a generic monitoring tool with a tower-shaped icon. TowerOps models sites, sectors, subscribers and revenue as first-class things.

Monitor

What the network is doing, at the level you care about.

Impact dashboard
MRR at risk, affected subscribers, open incidents and site health in one view.
Tower sites
Per-site rollups with device health, capacity, live weather and active NWS alerts.
Network map
Auto-discovered layer 2 and 3 topology, with nodes colored by live status.
Device detail
Ports, wireless, transceivers, hardware, neighbors, ARP, MAC, VLANs and event logs.
Service checks
HTTP, TCP, DNS, SSL, ping and passive checks, plus SNMP sensor, interface, processor and storage.
Any OID you want
Paste an OID, preview the live value, then keep it as a graphed and alertable sensor.
Time-series graphs
Threshold reference lines on every chart, plus a live SNMP polling mode.
Search everything
One keyboard shortcut over devices, sites, subscribers and alerts.

Respond

Get the right person on the right problem, and keep the noise down.

Alert triage
Ranked by severity and age, with acknowledge, resolve and snooze in place.
Subscriber trace
Help-desk mode: search a name or account and get the whole service path on one screen.
On-call schedules
Rotations with layers, per-layer members, overrides and a who-is-on-call timeline.
Escalation policies
Multi-step rules that escalate to a person or to whoever is on call.
Maintenance windows
Suppress alerting for planned work so a tower swap doesn’t page the whole team.
Storm suppression
One upstream failure becomes one notification, not forty. Rate limits fall back to a digest.
iPhone app
Scan a QR code to sign in, then get alert pushes while you’re up the tower.
PagerDuty routing
Send alerts to PagerDuty, to TowerOps on-call, or to both.

Analyze

Find the problems nobody opened a ticket for yet.

Insights feed
Sector overload, CPE realignment, capacity saturation, overheating and more, ranked by urgency.
RF coverage prediction
Predicted signal per antenna from terrain elevation, building footprints and tree canopy. Export as KMZ.
Weather outage risk
Correlates each site’s own outage history against NWS observations, then warns before the next front.
Plain-language summaries
A nightly pass writes up what changed across your network and what it implies.
Capacity and firmware
Backhaul utilization trends and firmware drift surfaced as actionable findings.
Activity journal
A searchable, org-wide record of what the network and the team did.
Scheduled reports
Uptime, alert history and a tower-by-tower capacity plan as CSV, emailed daily, weekly or monthly.
Your own queries
REST and GraphQL over everything, with subscriptions for live status and alerts.

Two ways in. Both take minutes.

Nothing gets installed on your radios. TowerOps polls them over SNMP, either from our infrastructure or from a small agent inside your network.

Publicly reachable devices

Nothing to install. Add a device and we poll it from our cloud pollers. Allow SNMP on UDP 161 and ICMP from our poller addresses and you’re monitoring.

Devices are reassigned automatically to whichever poller has the lowest latency.

Devices behind a firewall

Run one container anywhere on the network. It dials out over HTTPS on 443 and polls locally, so no inbound ports, NAT rules or VPN are needed. One CPU core and 512 MB is enough.

Deploy an agent
docker run -d --name towerops-agent \
  -e TOWEROPS_API_URL=https://staging.towerops.net \
  -e TOWEROPS_AGENT_TOKEN=your-token \
  ghcr.io/towerops-app/towerops-agent:latest

Then connect your billing platform for subscriber and revenue data. TowerOps maps subscribers to devices and sites on its own, and re-syncs every 10 to 15 minutes by default.

It reads the systems you already pay for.

Billing and subscribers
Gaiia · Sonar · Splynx · VISP
Subscribers, service plans, subscription status and revenue.
Quality of experience
Preseem
Per-subscriber QoE scores, latency and fleet baselines.
Vendor controllers
UISP · cnMaestro · NetBox
Ubiquiti and Cambium inventory, GPS, statistics and DCIM records.
Incidents
PagerDuty
Two-way: trigger, acknowledge and resolve stay in step.

Built for the person who reads the docs first.

788 device profiles
Matched automatically from SNMP sysObjectID; 673 carry vendor sensor definitions. MikroTik, Ubiquiti, Cambium, Cisco, Juniper, Mimosa, Siklu, Netonix and hundreds more.
SNMP v1, v2c and v3
v3 authentication through SHA-512 and privacy through AES-256. Credentials inherit device from site from organization.
Outbound only
The agent opens the connection and holds it. Your management network never accepts an inbound session from us.
REST and GraphQL
Resourceful CRUD over sites, devices, checks, alerts, schedules and coverage, plus GraphQL subscriptions. Terraform and Ansible friendly.
Two-factor is not optional
Every account enrolls in TOTP. Recovery codes, session revocation, breached-password checks and sudo mode for sensitive changes.
Real-time by default
Phoenix LiveView over WebSockets, so pages update as metrics land. Six roles from owner to viewer. Public status pages.

Ten devices free, forever.

Not a trial. The free plan carries every feature on this page, with no time limit and no card. It holds up to 10 devices.

Past ten, it’s $2 per device per month and your first ten stay free, so device eleven costs $2, not a new tier.
