Cloud Pollers
Devices that no agent claims are polled from TowerOps' cloud infrastructure, so publicly reachable devices need no additional setup or agent installation. A device is cloud-polled when its device, site and organization levels name no agent, or when the agent they resolve to is a cloud poller.
Cloud pollers themselves are application-wide agents: superadmins create them with New Cloud Poller on the Agents page, and they appear there under a Cloud Pollers table, marked with a Cloud badge. A superadmin also chooses one as the Global Default Cloud Poller, the fallback for devices with no agent assignment at any level. Organizations can override all of this with their own default agent.

Firewall Configuration
If your devices are behind a firewall, allow SNMP traffic (UDP port 161) and ICMP (for ping monitoring) from the cloud poller addresses listed above. Cloud pollers can only reach devices with public addresses, so for anything on a private network use an agent instead. MikroTik API polling from a cloud poller requires API-SSL (port 8729).
