Data Retention

Every class of data TowerOps stores has its own retention window. The table below states each one exactly as the code applies it, and who can change it. Windows marked "this organization's setting" follow the values configured for your organization; the rest are fixed for every deployment.

Audit log Churn actions (device writes, profile edits, page views, webhook rejects): 1095 days. Every other action and credential-rotation evidence: kept indefinitely. Fixed

The per-organization window covers metrics, checks, event history and resolved alerts, and starts at 30 days for a new organization. It is a deployment-level setting: ask support to change it, and note that lowering it deletes the older history on the next nightly sweep. SNMP trap history is retained only by its TimescaleDB policy and is deleted at the stated fixed window regardless of the organization's setting. The audit log keeps routine churn (device writes, profile edits, page views, webhook rejects) for the stated window and keeps every other action, including credential-rotation evidence, indefinitely. Config backup versions follow your own Backup retention setting, and a version you pin is never pruned.
